The Dirty Four

Rude Rock - Morning Glory - Hot Rod

Client: QMTBC, Nz Ski and Queenstown Trail

A collection of Queenstown classics

When Tom first arrived in Queenstown there was no way to ride to the valley floor from the bike park at Coronet Peak. He knew this had to change. Working with the awesome local trail associations Queenstown MTB club and Queenstown Trails, trail by trail there are now multiple ways from the peak to the valley floor offering 1200m of vertical descent.

2013 - Rude Rock design and build with Evan Winton - 3km - Linking the bike park down to Coronet Peak road - Rude Rock tries to keep it natural blending flow trail with backcountry epic and loved by many

2019 - Dirt Serpent - Design - Originally dubbed as ‘Upper Rude Rock’ Elevate designed this but couldn’t fit the build into the timeframe

2020 - Hot Rod design and build - 3km - Non stop fun flow with small fun jumps and heaps of epic turns

2023 - Morning Glory - 1.5km - Linking Rude Rock to Hot Rod to create continuous flow all the way down. Morning Glory is a true grade 3 that is great for beginners to warm up to the other trails in the dirty 4 and stays in great shape.

The area around Coronet Peak is now a world class destination full of iconic trails with more to come…..
