Coronet Loop

Mahu Whenua have graciously opened their land to the public and wanted to put in a 50km loop around Coronet Peak starting and finishing in Arrowtown

We worked with them and Queenstown Trails to plot a line linking Skippers and Macetown Roads through remote country requiring heli access and lots of walking!
Mahu Whenua generously offered to build the trail with their in house operators so we had to make sure the line was clear and easy to follow and would end up with a great result for walkers and bikers

The loop opened in 2022 and we conduct the annual maintenance on it clearing winter slips and adding some Elevate flow to improve the descents

We have also been working hard to improve the existing trails in the loop installing multiple bridges and re-routing problem sections on Bush Creek
